BABY on the way!!!!!!!!!!!

We're so dang excited to share that we are expecting a little Brewer Baby on April 15th! We find out whether its a boy or a girl soon and will let you all know after Thanksgiving! We can't wait for you all to meet baby brewer and be a part of his/her life!!!

Kate has recently started a long-term sub job teaching Spanish at a high school that she really likes. It  will last until after the Christmas Holidays and then she will be back to subbing at different schools.

Mark is starting his new job (doing the same job) as an Admissions Counselor at Ashford University this week. He will be switching from working with graduate students to undergraduates.

We love you all!

SEPTEMBER

September, 2011

Striking a pose at Kate's "Molly Ringwald" Birthday Party

September was a pretty full month!

Kate spent two and a half weeks in Antigua, Guatamala at a language emersion program touching up on her Spanish and getting back to her Central American roots....even though she grew up in Bakersfield! She will have pictures to come soon!

Mark has been working at the University of the Rockies for the last 11 months and is getting ready to transition into another job pretty soon! ...We found out a few weeks ago that Mark will be looking for a new job because his company is relocating to another state.....that we will not be following :-)...So a new job is in the near future!

Mark will also be starting on a second Masters Degree at University of the Rockies in mid October...He's pretty dang excited about it...considering at one time he wasn't sure if he would ever graduate high school. He's also starting to do some Personal Training on the side to help feed his coaching fix!

For now, Kate is back to the awesome life as a Substitute Teacher and taking spanish assignments to continue to work on her craft.

We're still living in a sweet little house in Normal Heights that we love!

Much love!

February Update

Kate and I are keeping ourselves pretty busy as we're both working towards being teachers in the next few years.

SCHOOL & WORK

Kate is taking several Spanish classes right now at SDSU and doing some nannying on the side to practice for motherhood some day - as if she needs the practice... She hopes to begin working on her Teaching Credential in the fall....I'm taking a few classes at Chapman and wrapping up my Masters in Education and Teaching Credential to teach high school history. I'm coaching Girls Water Polo at Santa Fe Christian and Student Teaching at Clairemont High School here in San Diego. I'm also just about to start a job with Rock Church helping them with their sunday Middle School Services.

HOME SWEET HOME!

We just moved into a little house in Normal Heights and have a new address:

4572 Bancroft St.
San Diego, CA 92116

Its small, quaint, and perfect for us as we get started on our lives together. We can walk a few blocks to some cool little bars, restaurants, and coffee shops.

Life's a little crazy but we're enjoying the adventure!

Christmas in Bakersfield

This was our first Christmas together as the Brewers!

We spent 5 days in Bakersfield going to a few of our family Christmas parties and seeing our family on Kate's side. Many of you will definitely know the people below but I'm adding the captions for our friends that may not know our family.

Jack loved his Tractor and Firehouse Toys!

Cayucos for Thanksgiving!

We have been spending the Thanksgiving Holidays in Cayucos with our Parents and Grandparents on Kate's side at their Beach House. It has been a great time to relax, sleep-in, eat way too much, and hang with family!

Here are a few pictures of Kate and our Nephew Jack on the beach there.
